Research is at the heart of everything Accrete does. Today, the company is proud to spotlight two remarkable achievements from its Research Division, showcasing the dedication and expertise of the team as they continue to push the boundaries of AI innovation.
Jing Wang’s Victory at the Kaggle ACM-ICAIF ’24 FinanceRAG Challenge
Accrete is proud to share that its senior research scientist, Jing Wang, has secured first place in the highly competitive Kaggle ACM-ICAIF ’24 FinanceRAG Challenge. This challenge tasked participants with developing a Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) system to analyze financial documents and answer complex queries using a combination of textual and tabular data. Jing emerged victorious out of 31 talented participants, exemplifying the ingenuity and precision that defines the approach at Accrete.
This win underscores Accrete’s strength in creating cutting-edge solutions that bridge the gap between AI research and real-world applications. It also highlights the transformative potential of AI in the financial sector, where extracting actionable insights from diverse data sources is paramount.
A Contribution to AI in Mental Health
Another accolade comes in the form of a research paper authored by Accrete’s talented researchers Ankit Patel, Pratyush Lohumi, Vishank Shah, Madhumita Dash led by Meenakshi Arya. Their paper, titled “Fine-Tuning Mistral Model for Multi-Agent Mental Health Counseling System,” has been accepted for presentation at the 2025 11th International Conference on Computing and Artificial Intelligence (ICCAI 2025) in Kyoto, Japan.
This paper presents a novel method of leveraging AI for mental health support. By fine-tuning the advanced Mistral model, the team developed a multi-agent counseling system aimed at enhancing accessibility and effectiveness in mental health care. The research highlights Accrete’s dedication to tackling complex societal challenges while reinforcing its position as a thought leader in the AI community.
